Mount Aso

Welcome to the first episode of People on Volcanoes! This month we are travelling to Kyushu Island, Japan to take a look at the volcanic caldera, Mount Aso. Standing at 1,592m tall and up to 25km wide this massive volcanic landscape holds many scientific secrets! We will be talking to Dr Ayumu Miyakawa from the Geological Survey of Japan  and Dr Franziska Keller from LeHigh University on what they have discovered about such a magnificent volcanic caldera.
